Scuba Diving

The Turks and Caicos Islands are comprised of two island groups that are separated by the Columbus Passage, which has a depth of over 7,000 feet. In addition, the islands are home to alluring turquoise waters with a thriving coral reef ecosystem. Thanks to the myriad of breathtaking walls or wrecks here, scuba diving has been one of the most popular tourist activities. At The Turks and Caicos company, we can organize scuba diving trips for our clients.

Diving into the Deep | Recommended Spots

The Turks and Caicos Islands are home to hundreds of dive sites. Here are a few spots that one might want to scuba dive.

Molasses Reef Located near French Cay, the Molasses Reef features a vertical wall and a depth of 55 ft. The reef top has many large groupers while the wall dives are shared with large sharks.

French Cay French Cay is located near Provo and is home to an array of dive sites. The wall starts in approximately 40 feet of water and drops to more than 6,000 feet. One can spot hammerheads, manta rays, sharks, eagle rays, and even the seasonal Humpback whales (from January to March).

Grace Bay Grace Bay’s coast is protected by a barrier reef and is a great place to scuba dive. Although the walls here are smaller (dropping to 100 feet), there are huge barrel sponges around, which attract pregnant reef sharks, barracudas, groupers, turtles, and snappers.

West Caicos West Caicos is home to a 45-feet reef and is a scuba diving destination that’s suitable for all skill levels. In fact, it is an excellent introductory wall dive for open water divers
